Words with capitalized initial letters have specific meanings defined under the following conditions. The definitions apply whether words appear in singular or plural.

  • Application – The software program provided by Lokal.
  • Buyer – Users who place orders for services.
  • Country – United States.
  • Company – Poppy Staffing LLC, DBA Lokal, located at 2355 State Street, Suite 101, Salem, OR 97301 (EIN: 99-3729251).
  • Content – Any text, images, or media posted by users.
  • Device – Any device that can access the Service (computer, cellphone, tablet, etc.).
  • Feedback – Innovations, suggestions, or input provided by users about the Service.
  • Service – The Lokal platform (website and application).
  • Seller – Users listing their services for booking.
  • Website – Lokal, accessible at https://joinlokal.com.
  • You – The individual accessing or using the Service.

3 - Acknowledgment

These Terms of Service govern the use of Lokal and form a legal agreement between you and the Company. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of these Terms, you may not use the Service.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Oregon, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.

5 - User Accounts

When creating an account, you must provide accurate and complete information. Failure to do so may result in account termination. You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials. Any unauthorized activity on your account is your responsibility. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.

6 - Use of the Service

You agree to use Lokal for lawful purposes only. Any fraudulent, abusive, or unethical activities may result in immediate termination of your account.

7 - Service Fees and Payments

Lokal facilitates payments between Buyers and Sellers. Payment processing is handled by third-party providers (e.g., Stripe, PayPal).

8 - Limitation of Liability

Lokal provides the Service 'as is' and 'as available' without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent allowed by law, Lokal is not liable for loss of revenue, service interruptions, or unauthorized access to user data.

9 - Intellectual Property

Lokal and its original content (excluding user-generated content) are protected by copyright, trademarks, and intellectual property laws.

10 - Dispute Resolution

Before taking legal action, please try to resolve disputes with Lokal informally by contacting us at hello@joinlokal.com. If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, it must be settled through binding arbitration in Oregon, United States.

11 - Changes to These Terms

Lokal reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users 30 days in advance if changes are significant. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
